Comparison between simulation and reality for identification of error causes and further optimization potentials.
The aim of the simulation after the sampling of parts is the virtual representation of the real defect image on the article. After the comparison, further optimization strategies to increase the component quality can be checked for their suitability and verified by simulations.

Moldflow as a supplier for advanced FEA
Provision of process-induced properties of the component or material for a more realistic mechanical design.
In the course of the optimal design of a component for its later specific application, not only the manufacturability but also the structural-mechanical design with regard to strength and behaviour under thermal loads is necessary. Especially for plastic components, the inclusion of process-induced properties of the component or material in structural-mechanical analyses is necessary. Moldflow offers the possibility to export these input data for the so-called integrative simulation.
